Position Description:

The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, CNC programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts. The position is for NIGHT shift – Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shift; includes a 20% shift differential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and operator Multi-Axis lathes with live milling
  • Use precision measuring tools to check and inspect to close tolerance requirements
  • Document SPC and inspection results precisely
  • Ability to modify tooling and fixtures as needed
  • Advise supervisor and programming team of technical advancements to increase production
  • Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
  • Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in CNC machine operation
  • CNC Swiss lathe setup experience is a plus
  • Read and understand blueprints and GD&T
  • Experience with changing tools, performing offsets and quality checks on parts
  • Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
  • Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations
