A growing precision CNC machine shop is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to support continued growth and production capacity. This shop specializes in multi-axis turning, Swiss machining, milling, and 5-axis machining, serving customers with a strong commitment to quality, precision, and customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled machinist who enjoys setup work, programming, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative small-shop environment where their contributions make a direct impact.

What You'll Do
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, including 5-axis machining centers and dual-spindle lathes with live tooling
  • Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Fusion 360
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and compliance
  • Perform tool and work offsets to maintain tight tolerances
  • Create fixtures and improve setup efficiency
  • Troubleshoot machining and production issues
  • Saw and prepare raw materials
  • Deburr, clean, package, and prepare finished parts for shipment
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Mentor apprentices and support team development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Machining Technology Program or Machinist Apprenticeship preferred
  • 4+ years of CNC machining experience (3+ years with formal machining education)
  • Proficiency operating CNC mills and lathes
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Advanced understanding of GD&T
  • CAM programming experience (Fusion 360 preferred)
  • Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
