  • Interpret 3D models, engineering drawings, and GD&T to plan machining strategies, fixturing, and tooling.
  • Program multi-axis (3–5 axis) mills and/or lathes and prove out programs at the machine with machinists.
  • Create setup sheets, tool lists, and process documentation.
  • Reduce cycle times and improve efficiency through program and process optimization.
  • Support first-article inspection and troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and the shop floor to improve manufacturability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision machining environment.
  • Proficiency with CAM software ([Mastercam / Esprit / NX]) and multi-axis programming.
  • Strong CAD model, blueprint, and GD&T interpretation.

  • 5-axis programming experience and experience with exotic materials (titanium, Inconel, stainless).
  • Experience in an AS9100 / aerospace environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
