Position Overview

The CAD/CAM Designer is responsible for creating detailed drawings and CNC programs for die shop operations using CAD/CAM software. This role supports manufacturing by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop CNC programs using CAM software
  • Create and modify 3D models using CAD tools
  • Monitor, document, and manage changes to CNC programs and machines
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, technical drawings, routing instructions, and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards by identifying and addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in CAD or related field, or 2–5 years of equivalent experience
  • Hands-on experience with CAM software, CNC programming, and 3D model generation from 2D prints
  • Familiarity with tools such as NX, WorkNC, or similar CAM platforms
  • Ability to generate NC programs from solid models
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
