Western Home Communities - CNA Class June 2026
Western Home Communities is offering a no-cost Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program for individuals interested in starting or advancing a career in healthcare at Western Home. This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates.This program is part of a registered apprenticeship through the U.S. Department of Labor and provides a direct pathway into a CNA role upon successful completion.
Program Overview
  • First Day Orientation: July 24th from 9:00 AM - Noon
  • Training Dates: July 27 to August 13th
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM(Hours may vary based on classroom and clinical requirements)
  • New Hire Orientation/Graduation: August 14th from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Location: Western Home Communities: Learn and Earn Campus, Cedar Falls, IA
  • Cost: No cost to selected participants
  • Class Size: Limited to 6 participants
  • Important: Full attendance is required for all classroom and clinical sessions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to attend all scheduled training and clinical sessions
  • Interest in working with seniors in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to meet pre-employment requirements (background check, health screening, etc.)
  • Strong reliability, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Access to reliable internet access and labtop or computer
Employment Commitment
Participants who successfully complete the program are expected to accept a CNA position with Western Home Communities, working:
  • At least part-time hours
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • HR orientation will take place on the last day of class
