Many programs offer paid training, and successful completion may lead to certification and full-time CNA employment.

What does a CNA trainee do?

As a CNA Trainee, your workday usually involves shadowing experienced CNAs, assisting with basic patient care tasks such as bathing, feeding, and mobility support, and learning about patient safety protocols. You may also participate in classroom and hands-on training sessions to build your skills and knowledge. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals, gaining valuable experience in a real clinical environment. This hands-on approach helps you prepare for certification and future responsibilities as a fully licensed CNA.

To excel as a CNA Trainee, you should possess a basic knowledge of patient care, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a genuine interest in healthcare.
