CNA POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and established nursing care procedures. CNAs work under the direction of licensed nursing staff and are responsible for ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and dignity while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides continuous care and comfort to assigned residents
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Monitors and documents residents' daily food and fluid intake
  • Assists residents with mobility, including standing, walking, exercising, repositioning, and transfers
  • Safely escorts and transports residents throughout the facility
  • Observes and reports changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to nursing staff
  • Completes and maintains accurate resident documentation and records
  • Supports a respectful, team-oriented care environment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
JOB TRAINING
  • Expected training and orientation period: up to 6 months, depending on prior experience and competency
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of an approved CNA training program
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of prior CNA experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to follow care plans and nursing instructions
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
