Micron Technology is seeking a highly motivated CMP Fab Equipment Maintenance Technician to support tool performance and reliability in a dynamic, innovative manufacturing environment. This role is critical to sustaining and improving equipment functionality in the CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) area. You will collaborate with shift operations, equipment engineers, and tool vendors to ensure optimal performance, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a safe and contamination-free cleanroom. Technicians in this role are expected to demonstrate dependability, technical capability, and a commitment to Micron's core values: People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor tool performance and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CMP equipment.
  • Trouble-shoot and repair mechanical and electronic systems using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment based on schematics, manuals, and layout plans.
  • Document all maintenance activities and review procedures for accuracy and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment availability and reliability.
  • Maintain cleanroom standards and follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
  • Lead or contribute to equipment-related projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, Robotics, or equivalent military/work experience.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), including night shifts, with physical requirements such as standing, lifting, and navigating confined spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience, ideally in CMP equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with SPC principles, AC/DC circuits, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and data analysis tools.
