Millwood Hospital | Arlington, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)

Millwood Hospital, in Arlington, TX, is a leading behavioral health facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician leader to combine executive leadership with clinical practice while helping shape the future of a well-established psychiatric hospital.

Millwood Hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults with psychiatric or substance use problems. A multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals provides 24-hour mental health treatment and supervision in a structured environment for patients who need intensive chemical dependency or behavioral therapy.

The CMO serves as a key member of the hospital's senior leadership team and provides strategic medical oversight for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative physician leader committed to clinical excellence, quality improvement, patient safety, and physician engagement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide medical leadership and clinical oversight for hospital operations.
  • Lead quality, performance improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Support physician recruitment, engagement, credentialing, and peer review activities.
  • Maintain an active clinical practice caring for psychiatric patients across the lifespan including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. MD or DO degree.
  2. Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  3. Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
  4. Prior leadership experience as a Medical Director, Associate CMO, CMO, Chief of Psychiatry, or similar role preferred.
  5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
