Job description

About MasterControl

MasterControl Inc. is a leading cloud-based quality and compliance software provider for life sciences and other regulated industries. Our mission is to enable our customers to bring life-changing products to market faster while ensuring compliance and quality throughout the product lifecycle. We are committed to innovation, customer success, and making a positive impact on the world.

Summary

As a Product Marketing Manager for our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) solution at MasterControl, you will own the go-to-market strategy and positioning for our latest product line with high-growth opportunity. Working closely with product, sales, and demand generation teams, you will translate complex software capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with regulated-industry buyers - particularly those in life sciences. You are a strategic thinker and a strong communicator who thrives at the intersection of technology and the market. If you are energized by the challenge of making sophisticated software undeniably clear and desirable, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Own the go-to-market strategy for MasterControl's CMMS product, including launch planning, positioning, and messaging frameworks that clearly differentiate our solution in the market.
  • Develop deep expertise in our buyers - their roles, workflows, pain points, and purchase drivers - and translate those insights into content and enablement materials that move deals forward.
  • Craft compelling messaging that bridges technical product capabilities with tangible customer outcomes, with particular sensitivity to the compliance-driven environment of regulated industries.
  • Partner with the product team to shape roadmap priorities based on market intelligence, competitive dynamics, and voice-of-customer research.
  • Equip the sales team with the tools to win: battlecards, pitch decks, demo narratives, objection handling guides, and persona-specific talk tracks.
  • Collaborate with demand generation to ensure campaigns are grounded in sharp, audience-relevant messaging and produce high-quality pipeline.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and maintain up-to-date intelligence on key competitors, market trends, and emerging customer needs.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the market - advocating for the customer perspective across product, sales, and executive conversations.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and content strategy that builds MasterControl's credibility and brand presence in the asset management and CMMS space.

Preferred skills

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software, with demonstrated success owning go-to-market launches and sales enablement programs.
  • Strong grasp of enterprise software products and the ability to quickly internalize technical concepts and communicate them clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience marketing to operations, facilities, or manufacturing buyers is a plus; CMMS, EAM, or asset management software experience is a strong advantage.
  • Background in or exposure to life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other FDA-regulated industries is highly preferred - you understand what compliance means to our customers.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - you can write a crisp one-pager and present to a VP with equal ease.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to prioritize decisions, measure program impact, and iterate quickly.
  • Collaborative by nature and effective in cross-functional environments; equally comfortable influencing without authority as managing up.
  • Proficiency with marketing tools and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; relevant advanced degree a plus.
