CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift

We are seeking an experienced CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform dimensional inspections, validate parts, manage calibration systems, and support Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure product quality and measurement accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • A detail-oriented CMM Operator responsible for performing dimensional inspections on manufactured parts using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and precision measuring equipment. Ensures products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements by interpreting blueprints, following inspection procedures, and documenting inspection results. Works closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to identify quality issues, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
    Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment to inspect components and finished products.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.
  • Verify dimensional accuracy and product conformance to specifications.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify nonconforming materials and communicate quality concerns to production and engineering teams.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety policies.
