Physician Assistant PA โ€“ Adult Medicine Clinic


This organization participates in the NHSC Loan Repayment Program


This community-based health center has been providing comprehensive healthcare services to residents of Hartford and Windsor. The center offers a full spectrum of services including primary medical care, behavioral health, dental care, a full-service pharmacy, and more. Patients are offered a true โ€œmedical homeโ€ โ€“ a place where they can access all their healthcare needs, supported by clinical staff who know them by name. Every day, the care team demonstrates the impact that quality, compassionate, and dignified care can have on individual lives.


The Adult Medicine Clinic is seeking an experienced PA to join the team. This role provides comprehensive primary health care, including health promotion and disease prevention, while collaborating with physicians and referring patients to specialists as appropriate.


Key Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Valid State of Connecticut licensure
  • DEA and state narcotic registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Strong knowledge of Physician Assistant theory and practice, with a proven record of delivering high-quality, comprehensive clinical care
  • Ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
  • Experience with medical history-taking, condition assessment, and interpretation of findings
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with proven success engaging patients and peers
  • Ability to maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation promptly
  • Comfort with electronic health records and clinical systems
  • Commitment to evidence-based clinical decision-making and adherence to quality measures
  • 1โ€“2 yearsโ€™ experience in ambulatory or urgent care settings is preferred
