Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a vital role in supporting the clinical functions of the Student Health Center. This position provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers in accordance with nursing and Health Center policies and procedures. The CMA is responsible for assisting with clinical procedures, collecting vital signs, preparing patients for examination, maintaining medical records, basic point-of-care testing and promoting wellness and preventative care programs. The CMA will participate in nursing staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives. Maintaining confidentiality at all times is essential to this role.
