POSITION SUMMARY:

Club Med (CM) is currently seeking a talented individual to lead the administration and reinforcement of a Payroll, benefits and HRIS strategy. The payroll manager will report directly to the AVP of Human Resources and will be responsible for demonstrating leadership, implementation of new projects and initiatives, compliancy and directing the service delivery of the compensation and benefits teams for the NAM BU (business unit), for both resorts and offices perimeters.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of the payroll production for US and global supervision of payroll efficiency in other countries.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of staff expenses and headcounts within the north American business unit, as well as the continuous improvement of internal processes and tools together with Finance department,
  • Responsible for the good management of health and retirement plans in US and in other countries of the business unit.
  • Ensure the application of global policies and processes related to compensation and benefits topics, for all business unit entities, including elements of compensation, payroll, benefits, audits, compliance, and recognition.
  • Management of compensation and benefits external and internal resources.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations related to compensation and benefits programs including all ERISA reporting in US

• Ensure that end of the month processes and reconciliation are correctly done

• Audit payroll processing and ensure compliance and effectiveness of payroll

• Provide and coordinate quality of information in Adaptive Insights to build monthly forecast and annual budget

• Work closely with Finance department to analyze staff expenses evolution and propose necessary actions/corrections

• Conduct 401k quarterly informational meetings/webinars

• Workers Comp cases and audits and annual filing notices

· Review, edit and enhance compensation and benefits offerings to stay competitive

· Support HR in the evolution of salary grids and salary collective negotiations

• Ensure efficiency of variable remuneration structure and KPI to reach BUs objectives.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compensation & benefits policies and procedures are effective and implemented correctly,

• Oversee the review, communication, and implementation of the annual benefit programs and compensation reviews,

• Monthly audit and reconciliation of all vendor billing and employee deductions

• Manages the Wellness activities and budget to ensure a positive social climate.

• Occasional travel to others countries of the BU to train and assist HR in compensation and benefits challenges


REQUIREMENTS:

• Significant experience in the knowledge, design and implementation of complex HRIS and benefits programs.

• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and emerging regulatory issues preferred.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Conviction and capacity to lead teams to reach collective goals

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and managers.

• Ability to professionally handle confidential material and associated issues.

• Ability to work with multicultural teams, with occasional trips outside of US

• Workday, ADP and Adaptive Insight experience preferred.

• Fluent in English, knowledge of French and/or Spanish preferred


Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field preferred.
  • CPP certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of five years of Payroll and/or compensation and benefit management experience.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP welcome.
