Job description

Department: Guest Services / Front Office

Reports To: Front Office Manager / Guest Services Lead

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Shift Availability: Flexible availability, full availability preferred (7:00 AM โ€“ 11:00 PM)

Job Summary:

The Doorman / House Car Driver is a premier dual role serving as the primary face of the Club by maintaining a dignified presence at the front entrance and operating a luxury transportation fleet. The ideal candidate will seamlessly transition between welcoming members, assisting with luggage, providing an elite private-chauffeur experience, and also supporting other guest service areas like coat check during peak events.

Core Responsibilities:
    1. Front Canopy & Door Hospitality (Doorman Duties)
  • Provide a warm, premium, and highly personalized welcome to members and guests arriving at the Club.
  • Proactively assist members with vehicle doors, luggage, umbrellas, and packages.
  • Coordinate with the Bell Desk to manage the firstcome, firstserved queue for the House Car, offering accurate returntime estimates to waiting members.
  • Maintain good communication and coordination with the Bell Desk to manage guest flow and vehicle dispatch.
    1. 2. Luxury Shuttle Operations (Driver Duties)
  • Strictly adhere to the designated geographic service corridor.
  • Politely and professionally communicate boundaries and enforce Club policies (e.g., no smoking, mandatory seatbelt use, boundary limit) using approved verbiage.
  • Maintain a safe, smooth, and professional driving experience for all passengers.
  • Log all trip details accurately, including member names and destination information.
  • Ensure the vehicle's interior is immaculately presented before and after every trip.
    1. 3. Fleet Maintenance & "Club Condition" Standards
  • Daily Readiness: Execute comprehensive shiftcommencement inspections (checking tire pressure, verifying fluid levels, cleaning windshields, and testing the camera and GPS safety systems).
  • Shift Closeout: Secure the vehicles in their designated "Home Base" parking stalls, complete ending mileage logs, secure the keys at the Front Desk, and secure the vehicles and ensure they are ready for the next morning's use.
  • Proactively schedule and coordinate nonroutine maintenance and detailing appointments with the management team.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance performed and report any major issues immediately.
  • Maintain a pristine appearance of the vehicle's interior and exterior throughout the shift, conducting touchup cleanings as needed.
  • Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Driving Record Must possess a valid State Driverโ€™s License with an exemplary, clean driving record (no major violations).
  • Background Check Continued employment is strictly conditional upon passing an annual background check conducted by Human Resources.
  • Physical Demands Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active outdoors in all Chicago weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, wind) for the duration of a shift. Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage or packages up to 50 lbs.
