SUMMARY

Host will be responsible for the accurate data entry of Players Club members, assist guests in the formal application process by explaining the benefits of being a member. As well as assisting the promotions department with current promotions, this position will set up new accounts, issuing comps for current promotional days and prize redemption.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Greet and inform all guests of all benefits of the Player’s Club program.
  • Opening/closing booth and related tasks.
  • Perform data entry/processing duplicate account information.
  • Print player cards.
  • Maintain award and card inventory as well as other stock items.
  • Answering a multi-line telephone system, transferring calls, and taking messages.
  • Explain operation of card in slot machine and at Table Games.
  • Describe award levels and record award redemptions.
  • Staff relief and assist in promotional theme nights and player development.
  • Review promotional data for guest information.
  • Assist guests with guest comment forms.
  • Responsible for drawings, accounts tagging and logging of winners.
  • Complete all tasks related to corporate group redemption
  • Explain passbook coupons for inquiring guests.
  • Review posted memos.
  • Make announcements.
  • Daily cleaning of workspace, booth and PC storage including but not limited to vacuuming gift shop and players club, clean cabinets, clean drawers.
  • Read and memorize all promotions.
  • Clean and fix printers/card printers.
  • Perform after hour duties in Coat Check including but not limited to check and retrieve coats, straightening coats, clean and organize work area.
  • After hours Valet distribution.
  • Inventory and stock Players Club.
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Must possess typing skills, general PC skills and familiarity of Microsoft products a plus. Should have a working knowledge of 10-key calculator.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. Must possess basic mathematical skills. Prefer previous customer service and computer experience.

Multi-line telephone and Microphone/Intercom/Paging system.

Will also use 35mm, Polaroid, and Digital Camera.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May be required to lift up to 45 lbs. Will be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. May also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion. Climbing a ladder may also be required. The employee will be frequently required to walk out on the casino floors and interact with the guests.

TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with difficult people without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud, smoking environment and handle some diesel smoke from buses. Must be able to handle being under constant surveillance. May be required to work in a confined space. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA.

COMMENTS

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
