Title: Student Life Club Assistant

Job Summary:

The Student Life Office at RRCC is seeking a Student Life Club Assistant to support the development, administration, and success of student clubs and organizations. This position assists with club communications, event planning, officer support, marketing, attendance tracking, and campus engagement initiatives. The Club Assistant serves as a resource for student leaders while helping ensure clubs meet institutional requirements and maintain active engagement within the college community.


This position reports to the Coordinator of Student Life. The work schedule is flexible based on class schedule and department needs and is primarily located on the Lakewood campus. May require hours outside of normal work schedule.
This is a work-study position. This position may work up to 20 hours each week while an RRCC student, depending on class schedule, need, and budget availability. Student employees are enrolled and contribute to a TIAA-CREF account when enrolled in less than six credits.

Required Qualifications:

For work study employment:
โ€ข Must be an RRCC student and have been granted a work study award for the semester the student is seeking employment and maintain eligibility.
โ€ข Must be enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours) and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress for all credit hours.
For student hourly employment:
โ€ข Must be an RRCC student and enrolled in at least half-time (6 credit hours).
Other Required Qualifications
โ€ข Must have a commitment to equity and quality customer service and the ability to interact and communicate effectively in oral and written form with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
โ€ข Must be reliable, punctual and have a good work ethic.
โ€ข Must be a self-starter with time-management skills and a strong attention to detail.
โ€ข Ability to work from campus (Lakewood campus location) and be eligible for student employment.

โ€ข Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
โ€ข This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
โ€ข The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
โ€ข Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
