Job description

About Us

The Bread Club is the latest opening by Feels Like Home, a Dallas based hospitality group. Our last opening was Mamani, which earned a Michelin Star after less than two months of being open. We are beyond excited to open The Bread Club.

At it’s core, The Bread Club is a neighborhood bakery built around great bread, good company, and the simple joy of sharing food.

We bake fresh every day, combining European baking traditions with Texas-grown grains. The result is bread that’s balanced, natural, and meant to be enjoyed every day.

More than just a bakery, The Bread Club is a return to bread as it should be — because good bread should be part of everyday life.

About You

The Bread Club is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead all accounting functions across the FLHO portfolio. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financials, improving accounting processes, and ensuring timely, reliable reporting to support decision-making. This role will work closely with ownership and operational leadership, helping FLHO stay organized as we scale while maintaining strong financial discipline across multiple concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations across entities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management
  • Manage weekly and monthly close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare, review and analyze P&Ls, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures
  • Ensure all invoices are properly captured, coded, and processed in a timely manner (in coordination with operations teams)
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives (labor, food, and beverage)
  • Assist with system optimization across platforms such as Sage Intacct, Craftable, Toast, and payroll systems
  • Support new openings and ensure accounting systems and processes are properly set up from day one
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions as the company grows
  • Develop a future accounting team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CMA Qualification
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in multi-unit or multi-entity environments
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting fundamentals
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations teams
  • Understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (SageIntaact and Quickbooks required)
  • Experience in hospitality preferred (restaurant, hotels)
  • Experience working with inventory-based accounting preferred
  • Familiarity with systems such as Toast and Craftable preferred

Compensation

  • 90k - 110k salary
  • Paid Time Off
  • FLHO restaurant discounts
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits

We are two brothers who grew up in Southern California, where bakeries were a big part of our daily lives. Fresh baguettes and croissants were always on the kitchen table - never lasting more than a couple of hours. We wanted to bring that same feeling to Dallas.
