Job description

The internet is the critical path for the world's applications. Whether it's the largest enterprises running mission-critical workloads, social media platforms serving billions of requests, AI-native startups deploying inference at scale, or media companies streaming live events to global audiences, these applications need security, performance, and scale at the network layer. Do you want to define the products that make this possible?
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Product Manager-Technical to join our CloudFront and Global Accelerator team based in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA.

We are the product team behind Amazon CloudFront and AWS Global Accelerator, services that provide massive scale, security, and performance for the world's most demanding applications. Our infrastructure spans hundreds of points of presence globally, and our products serve as the front door for some of the largest workloads on the internet.
We're looking for a product manager who is passionate about solving customer problems and has demonstrated success in turning ambiguous customer needs into successful products. In this role, you will drive AWS edge capabilities that bring together leading network technologies, distributed compute, high-efficiency edge infrastructure, and sharp pricing to deliver products that impact internet experiences for millions of end users

You will work across the full product lifecycle, from identifying unmet customer needs through launch and growth.
If you are excited by building deeply technical products at the intersection of networking, security, and distributed systems, enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment, and are comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams, we want to talk to you.
As a Senior Product Manager-Technical, you will be a critical part of the PM organization that owns the business model and P&L, prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for new products. You will work across engineering, business development, and marketing leads to set strategy, define the product, and make difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market. You will partner with the technical leaders of the organization to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security promises of our products delight our customers

As one of the team leaders, you will play a key role in hiring additional team members, and help set the vision, values, and culture of this business.
Key job responsibilities
1. Understand technology and customer trends in networking, security, and edge computing to identify forward-looking strategies that drive business growth.
2. Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and learn what we can build to enable and delight them.
3

Own all aspects of your product portfolio including strategy, feature roadmap, user experience, pricing, and growth for different customer segments.
4. Author documents relating to product lifecycle including product roadmap, business requirements, and functional specifications.
5. Drive product development across teams (primarily Engineering, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) through business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment.
6

Define pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies to drive product growth.
7. Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.
8. Prototype new features and experiences.
About the team
We are a core part of the AWS Network Services organization with team members in Seattle, San Jose, San Francisco, London, Dublin, Australia, and Vancouver

Together we work as one team across services that provide network connectivity and security from the internet to AWS, within AWS, and across multiple clouds or customer data centers. This includes Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Global Accelerator, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancers, VPC, Cloud Interconnect, and network Gateways. Our shared mission is to make the network invisible by making connectivity seamless.

We connect our customer applications with their end users, AI tools, and adjacent services without needing deep knowledge of networking.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we are building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, document reviews

We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded professional and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.
