Job description

Responsibilities
The KINGROAD Security Team is seeking a mid-level Cloud System Administrator. This role integrates Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) principles with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure the reliability and security of mission-critical systems
The candidate should be experienced setting up and configuring AWS EC2 environments, use of Terraform and Ansible to manage IaC and understanding of AWS Well Architected Frameworks (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability).
In addition, the candidate should be familiar with all aspects of Site Reliability Engineering to assist the team with automating operational tasks, designing resilient systems, implementing monitoring and logging.
The ideal candidate will work well in a team environment, is self-motivated and proactively completes tasks with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required
  • 3+ years of experience in IT, specifically working with cloud-hybrid environments, systems administration, and virtualization technologies.
  • A solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux operating system components
  • 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or another related technical field is required and will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)

Required Certifications:
The following certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required:

  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Possession of a Cloud and DoD8571 IAT Level II certifications are required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
