Job description

Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Job ID: 26-02654 Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC,27526 Duration: 24 months on W2 contract
  • Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
  • Must be able to work 1st and 3rd shift.
  • 1st shift hours 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 3rd shift hours 6:00 PM - 5:00 AM.
  • Assignment will start 1st shift but during busy season and needs candidate will need to be flexible to work 3rd shift hours as well.

Job Description:
To provide onsite deskside Tier 2 support performing the following duties:
Primary Duties for this role:
  • Deploying new computers to replace old ones.
  • Upgrading to window 11 from 10
  • Imaging computers
  • Disposing of outdated assets
  • Strong Software skills: PowerShell, python, etc.
  • On your feet a lot
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Metatarsal safety boots required first day
  • Lifting and moving printers

Additional details:
  • Documents recording and/or distributing information. Has some breadth, depth and/or frequency of interaction with external contacts. Typical examples include updating assets in Service Now, following KB articles for problem resolution, and following unit specific processes.
  • Responsible for effective e-mail communications and ability to create and maintain basic
  • documents/records
  • Responsible for recognizing problems with the processes/operations supported. Is responsible for resolving those problems with pre- established and documented solutions. Is responsible for reporting to others those problems that fall outside the scope of established procedures.
  • Maintains equipment, supplies, data supporting processes or operations.

Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
  • Knowledge of computer security policies and a general overall knowledge of computer security concepts
  • Ability to drive locally
  • 1 year or more IT experience preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered

Education Requirements:
  • Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - High School or secondary diploma or equivalent.
