Join our dynamic team as a Closing Coordinator in our Washington, D.C. office. As a Closing Coordinator on our Housing Finance team, you will manage a wide range of responsibilities, including the preparation, organization, proofreading, and assembly of closing documents. Collaborating closely with lawyers, paralegals, legal administrative assistants, and project assistants, you will ensure delivery of timely and high-quality closing support. This position is hybrid and offers a work schedule of 3 days in the office.

Your Role:

As a Closing Coordinator within our Finance Department, you will:

  • Draft, review and assemble loan documents prior to and following execution, ensuring a thorough final quality check.

  • Maintain a detailed list of all pending transactions.

  • Organize and request all necessary documents for closing.

  • Provide data collection support and management of deal checklists.

  • Keep the team updated on deal status and upcoming deadlines.

  • Prepare, organize, and proofread transaction and closing documents.

  • Coordinate with external transaction parties and internal staff to timely manage post-closing delivery packages.

  • Handle post-closing logistics efficiently to enhance client satisfaction.

  • Create detailed post-closing documentation and binders.

  • Liaise with various internal departments while maintaining confidentiality.

Required Experience:

A four-year college degree is preferred. 5+ years relevant work experience as a paralegal or closing coordinator in real estate lending transactions, preferably with a mortgage company, title company, law firm, or other firm providing services to borrowers, lenders or mortgage companies is preferred. An intermediate level with Microsoft Office, Adobe/Nuance, and document management systems is required. Familiarity with a variety of multifamily real estate financing executions involving Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD will be prioritized.

The targeted salary range for this position is from $80,000 - $100,000, which reflects the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate’s experience, and qualifications.
