Job Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, detail-orientedย Custom Closet Designerย with a proven track record in the industry. In this role, you will act as both a creative expert and a consultant, transforming client needs into beautiful, functional storage solutions for closets, pantries, home offices, and more. You will manage projects from the initial in-home consultation through the final design presentation, ensuring a seamless bridge between client vision and installation.
Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultations:ย Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess storage needs, lifestyle goals, and budget constraints.
  • Custom Design:ย Create innovative 2D and 3D renderings using our best-in-industry software. Paid training is available during the ramp-up phase. ย
  • Sales & Proposals:ย Present design proposals, select materials and finishes, and manage your sales pipeline to meet or exceed monthly targets.
  • Technical Precision:ย Take precise site measurements and account for obstacles like wall outlets or access panels to ensure error-free installations.
  • Collaboration:ย Partner with production and installation teams to ensure the final product meets design specifications and client expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Industry Experience:ย Minimum ofย 2โ€“5 yearsย of experience in custom closet design.
  • Software Proficiency:ย Advanced skills in closet design software such asย Cabinet Vision,ย ClosetPro, or similar CAD-based platforms.
  • Sales Track Record:ย Proven ability to close deals in a consultative, B2C environment.
  • Attention to Detail:ย Meticulous approach to measurements and material specifications to minimize rework.
  • Professionalism:ย Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously.
  • Reliability:ย Must have a valid driverโ€™s license and dependable transportation for client site visits.

Growth & Business Development (Proactive Approach)
We provide qualified leads, but we are looking for a designer who is eager to expand their business. If you have the drive to build your own book of business, we provide the tools and incentives to make it worth your while.

  • Lead Generation Bonus:ย Earn an additional 2% commission on all self-generated leads and new business acquisitions.
  • Professional Networking:ย Actively build and maintain partnerships withย interior designers,ย realtors, andย luxury home buildersย to create a recurring referral pipeline.
  • Community Presence:ย Represent the brand at home shows, local networking events, and industry mixers to capture high-value prospects.
  • Strategic Prospecting:ย Identify and pursue opportunities in high-growth residential developments and renovation hubs.

Benefits
  • Flexible scheduling and hybrid or work-from-home options.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k) with company matching.ย
  • Commission-Plus Structure: Performance-based pay that rewards your expertise.ย  Unlike flat-rate plans, your commission increases based on the profitability of each job.ย
  • Site Visit Stipend: We value your time and professional travel.ย  You will receive a $25 stipend for every qualified in-home consultation.ย
  • Supportive Culture: You arenโ€™t just a sales rep on an island.ย  We offer an open-door leadership style and a collaborative environment where designers and installers work as a unified team.ย
