Description
Under the supervision of the Department Director, implements the education program goals and objectives for BMH personnel as appropriate. The process includes orientation, on-the-job training, in-service and continuing education and performance improvement projects as appropriate. Maintains data to measure participation and trends. Participates on hospital committees. Assist with development, implementation and evaluation of education programs within the department. Establishes professional rapport and works to meet needs with all Department Heads and staff
Position Requirements
EDUCATION:
  • Ability to obtain a South Carolina License preferred
  • Prefer Baccalaureate or Master's Degree

EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-5 years clinical experience required.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred or proven ability to prepare, organize, and present course content and classroom instruction.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all hospital staff, physicians, administration, patients and families.
  • Possesses good oral and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred, especially Power Point and Word.
  • Educate clinical and ancillary staff
  • Mange OLMS (online learning management system)

CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES:
  • Holds current South Carolina License preferred.
  • BLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor and PALS Instructor required within 6 months of hire.
