Description
The Clinical Supervisor - At Promise Centers provides clinical leadership, supervision, consultation, and oversight across CHRIS 180's four At Promise Centers. This position is responsible for supporting and developing a team of up to eight therapists while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based behavioral health services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key clinical resource for therapists and program staff, providing ongoing supervision, case consultation, clinical guidance, crisis support, and professional development. The position is also responsible for promoting consistency in clinical practices, documentation, treatment planning, risk management, and compliance across all At Promise Center locations.
In addition to clinical oversight, the Clinical Supervisor serves as a liaison between the At Promise Centers and internal and external stakeholders, including CHRIS 180 leadership, community partners, schools, referral sources, and other providers. The Clinical Supervisor works closely with the Vice President of Community-Based Mental Health to identify program needs, address barriers, strengthen clinical operations, and support the overall success of the At Promise Centers.
Role and Responsibilities
The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
Clinical Assessment and Treatment
Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and trauma assessments, diagnostic evaluations, screenings, and initial clinical impressions.
Provide clinical supervision to assigned therapists in accordance with Georgia licensing requirements and CHRIS 180 standards.
Provide ongoing clinical consultation, case review, coaching, and guidance to therapists across all four At Promise Centers.
Support therapists in developing strong clinical skills, ethical decision-making, assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practices.
Review clinical cases and provide guidance regarding appropriate interventions, level of care, referrals, and treatment approaches.
Monitor therapist caseloads and provide guidance regarding appropriate caseload management based on client needs, acuity, and service frequency.
Identify clinical strengths and areas for development among staff and establish appropriate coaching, training, and professional development opportunities.
Conduct and document required clinical supervision and maintain appropriate supervision records.
Provide consultation regarding complex, high-risk, or clinically challenging cases.
Support therapists in obtaining and maintaining professional licensure and required credentials.
Promote a culture of accountability, professional growth, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Clinical Quality & Compliance
Ensure clinical services are delivered in accordance with CHRIS 180 policies, professional ethics, Georgia licensing requirements, DBHDD standards, Medicaid requirements, and other applicable regulations.
Conduct routine chart reviews to monitor documentation, treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, authorizations, and overall clinical quality.
Identify documentation or compliance concerns and work with therapists to address deficiencies in a timely manner.
Monitor clinical trends and identify opportunities for quality improvement across the At Promise Centers.
Ensure appropriate risk assessment, safety planning, crisis response, mandated reporting, and escalation procedures are followed.
Provide clinical guidance regarding appropriate referrals to higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
Participate in audits, quality reviews, corrective action planning, and other compliance activities as needed.
Promote consistent clinical standards and practices across all four At Promise locations.
Therapist Support & Development
Serve as a consistent clinical resource for therapists and provide timely support when questions, concerns, or complex situations arise.
Foster a supportive environment where therapists feel comfortable seeking consultation and guidance.
Assist with onboarding and orientation of new clinical staff.
Identify training needs across the At Promise Centers and coordinate or provide clinical training as appropriate.
Support therapists in meeting clinical, documentation, productivity, and organizational expectations.
Recognize staff accomplishments and encourage professional development and career advancement.
Address performance or clinical concerns promptly and collaboratively with appropriate leadership and Human Resources.
Program & Cross-Site Clinical Coordination
Provide clinical oversight across all four At Promise Centers and promote consistency in service delivery.
Collaborate with center leadership and program staff to identify operational or clinical barriers affecting service delivery.
Monitor clinical capacity, referral needs, caseloads, and staffing concerns and communicate identified needs to the Vice President of Community-Based Mental Health.
Help ensure appropriate staffing and clinical coverage across locations.
Participate in team meetings, leadership meetings, case consultations, and other meetings necessary to support program operations.
Assist with the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, workflows, and best practices.
Support the implementation of organizational initiatives and clinical programming across the At Promise Centers.
Stakeholder & Community Collaboration
Serve as a clinical liaison between the At Promise Centers and internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with schools, community organizations, referral partners, families, and other service providers.
Participate in meetings with community partners and stakeholders as requested.
Provide appropriate information regarding CHRIS 180 behavioral health services and referral processes.
Support collaboration and continuity of care among CHRIS 180 programs and external providers.
Help resolve clinical or service-related concerns brought forward by stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
Represent CHRIS 180 professionally and promote the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Crisis & Risk Management
Provide clinical consultation and support during client crises and other high-risk situations.
Assist therapists in assessing risk and determining appropriate interventions and level of care.
Ensure appropriate escalation of significant clinical, safety, or compliance concerns to the Vice President of Community-Based Mental Health and other leadership as required.
Participate in post-crisis consultation and debriefing to support staff and identify opportunities for improvement.
Promote an environment of emotional and physical safety for clients, staff, and stakeholders.
Clinical Documentation and Compliance: The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for helping ensure that assigned clinical staff:
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required documentation in accordance with CHRIS 180 and regulatory standards.
Maintain appropriate insurance authorizations and documentation.
Meet established clinical productivity expectations while maintaining quality of care.
Maintain appropriate caseloads based on client needs and clinical acuity.
Follow all applicable DBHDD, Medicaid, licensing, HIPAA, and CHRIS 180 requirements.
Participate in supervision, training, quality improvement, and performance management activities.
Professional and Organizational Responsibilities
Participate in supervision, clinical consultation, team meetings, training, and other required organizational activities.
Maintain required professional licensure, credentialing, continuing education, and agency training requirements.
Complete credentialing and insurance panel requirements in collaboration with appropriate organizational departments.
Maintain a safe, professional, trauma-informed, and welcoming environment for clients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
Demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, sound clinical judgment, and strong customer service in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Perform other related duties as assigned based on program and client needs.

Requirements
Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
Current, unrestricted Georgia clinical license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
Must be eligible to provide clinical supervision in Georgia and preferably be a Georgia Board-approved clinical supervisor.
Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
Prior experience providing clinical supervision to therapists, associate-level clinicians, interns, or other behavioral health professionals strongly preferred.
Experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families preferred.
