MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
LPC, LCSW, LBP, or BSN with five years of related experience required and two years in a supervisory role preferred. Prefer experience working with families and children in a behavioral health setting. Requires the willingness and ability to work irregular hours as needed to ensure quality standards are met in service delivery. Familiarity with CARF standards is preferred. Should have demonstrated supervisory, administrative, and consultative abilities as well as knowledge of trauma-informed care.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Responsible for the operations management of a 24 hour, seven days per week 15 bed children's crisis stabilization unit.
• Ability to oversee development and maintenance of the program, purchasing equipment, interacting with numerous vendors and expediting needed results.
• Ability to be organized, goal oriented, and work autonomously.
• Practices and promotes the Sanctuary Model's seven commitments of: non-violence, emotional intelligence, social learning, open communication, social responsibility, democracy, and growth and change.
• Ability to recruit, select and provide leadership to 20+ staff members (clinical and support staff).
• Ability to communicate in an emotionally intelligent manner with clear, polite, and respectful interpersonal communication in person, in written format and by telephone, with employees, administration, community partners, referral sources, and clients and their families.
• Must possess extensive working knowledge of the behavioral health field, trauma-informed care, crisis management, and evidenced-based treatment models.
• Must possess the ability to share knowledge while fostering team relationships within the Center, within other agency departments, and throughout the community while maintaining objectivity, cooperative attitude, and commitment to the Sanctuary components.
• Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, delegate responsibilities, organize and present facts effectively.
• Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff in order to develop professionalism and coordination within the team.
• Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior as well as the ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client and employee information.
• Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Directly responsible for daily operation and maintenance of CRS's Crisis Stabilization Unit. A, B, C, D, E, F, G
2. Organize and supervise a time-efficient manner of delivering trauma-informed services for youth ages 10-17 (and their families) who are in crisis, including those with co-occurring disorders. A, B, C, D, E, F, G
3. Supports and promotes a trauma sensitive service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that are recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives. C, D, F
4. Will ensure the timely, accurate and completeness of charting requirements of all assigned staff. A, D, E, G
5. Will ensure the prompt and accurate collection of all client information to ensure timely and accurate billing of all services provided by assigned staff. D, E
6. Will fill all new positions vacant with qualified staff in a timely manner. D, E, G
7. Provide clinical and job specific support/supervision to all center staff to assist them with doing their jobs effectively, efficiently, and with emotional intelligence. A, D, E
8. Provide written performance evaluations of all staff supervised in a timely manner. (*No later than 15 days after due date.) D, E
9. Keep all paperwork up-to-date and turn in any required paperwork/reports in a timely fashion. D, E
10. Attend all Calm Center related meetings, program director meetings and general staff meetings when scheduled; as well as other community meetings as needed/requested. E
11. Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reports (*and other necessary reports as requested) regarding the Calm Center. A, D, F
12. Responsible for participating in public relations activities and other outside (CRS) functions to link with our community and the greater social service system. A, B, C, D, F
13. Will monitor budget, reporting unit cost reports, and individual staff productivity and documentation. D, E, G
14. Responsible for reviewing charts for quality of care, completed progress notes, treatment plans, closures/discharges, chart closures for staff/audit charts and ensuring that these are signed off and completed in a timely manner. D, F
15. I am responsible for ensuring all Calm Center staff are appropriately trained on Calm Center and CRS policies & procedures and that staff training is up to date. D, F, G
16. Writing, revising/updating, and submitting for approval Calm Center policies and procedures. D, E, F, G
17. Facilitating regular Calm Center staff team meetings, including teambuilding activities, (*at varying times to accommodate staff on the different shifts) utilizing the Sanctuary Model and conducting regular community meetings and safety plan checks. D, E, F
18. Develop and maintain a referral base for consumers in need of a higher level of care (e.g. residential, detox, etc.) or other community resources (food bank, domestic violence, etc.). Expedite functional and efficient linkage procedures for referrals from and to service providers, including those serving individuals with co-occurring disorders. B, C, F
19. Responsible for responding (*or designating someone) to crisis issues involving staff, building maintenance, client's or client's family) in person or by telephone to support staff. A, C, E, F
20. Provide training, consultation and education before outside groups and organizations explaining the program's purpose and functions. B, D, E, F, G
21. Attend various community professional and social organization meetings, as needed. B, E
22. Participate in professional development workshops or training courses to maintain continuing education training hours to ensure annual licensing and/or certification requirements and to stay up to date on the latest research and information in the field. A
23. Responsible for ensuring that all nurses, physician, therapist, and Assistant Director are appropriately and regularly trained on completion and documentation of 15-minute checks (*at least once a quarter, documented on a training log) and regularly reviewing this documentation.
24. Responsible for operation and training on the DVR operation and basic IT needs.
25. Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to calculate various mathematical formulas, enter data into computer programs, and compile data from different sources in a timely and accurate manner

EMPLOYMENT STATUS & HOURS: Exempt. Full-Time, 40 hours per week. Evening and/or weekend work will be required as needed to meet social responsibility commitments and associated agency objectives in providing services to clients.
On-call duties
Medical Record Access Level 1.
SUPERVISES: Crisis Stabilization Staff, including Assistant Director, Nurses, Physician, Triage Therapists, Volunteers/Interns and other program staff (life skill coaches, office specialist, safety officer) when A.D. not available.
