Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Pharmacology, the Clinical Pharmacology Lead provides strategic and scientific leadership across multiple programs and serves as the clinical pharmacology representative on cross-functional development teams. Leads the design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of clinical pharmacology studies and deliverables, including first-in-human, drug-drug interaction, biopharmaceutics, and ADME studies. Partners with internal teams, external vendors, and CROs with scientific and budgetary oversight. Represents Clinical Pharmacology in regulatory interactions and contributes to regulatory strategy and submissions.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a clinical pharmacology lead for multiple programs with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage and execute clinical pharmacology deliverables; oversee CRO work.
  • Own scientific and budgetary responsibility for design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of first-in-human, drug-drug interaction, biopharmaceutics, and ADME studies.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners (clinical operations/development, nonclinical toxicology, DMPK, biostatistics, medical writing, regulatory).
  • Represent clinical pharmacology in program teams and regulatory interactions; prepare regulatory documentation and participate in agency meetings.
Requirements
  • PhD in clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields (e.g., pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, drug metabolism).
  • 10+ years industry experience as a clinical pharmacologist.
  • Experience designing and conducting clinical pharmacology studies; PK/PD and/or population PK analysis; interpreting results.
  • Working knowledge of either (1) drug metabolism/drug-drug interactions or (2) biologics/large molecule development.
  • Familiarity with clinical pharmacology regulatory guidance.
  • Experience with regulatory agency interactions (written responses, IND packages); End of Phase 2 and NDA/MAA interactions preferred.
  • CRO experience plus.
  • Bioanalysis, data management, and statistical programming experience preferred.
  • Advanced training in WinNonlin, R, NONMEM, and/or Monolix; hands-on population PK/PD preferred.
  • Broad familiarity with drug development process.
  • Strong collaboration in matrix environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
Compensation

Annual base salary range: $247,000–$297,000 USD.
