Description - What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct a range of routine and advanced clinical laboratory analyses-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while strictly following established protocols.
- Evaluate test results for quality and accuracy, address any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples as necessary for testing.
- Keep detailed records of all procedures, train newcomers, and contribute to maintaining high quality control standards in the lab.
- Ensure a clean, safe working environment and strictly adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
- Maintain current certification throughout the duration of employment.
