Up to 20 hours per Week | Schedule will vary depending on student's class schedule.
Position Summary
Assist with the set-up and take- down of micro labs including moving specimens to/from incubator
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Prepare lab materials, specimens, and equipment for scheduled classes and experiments
  • Set up and clean lab benches, glassware, and instruments before and after use
  • Restock supplies and assist with inventory of chemicals, models, and tools
  • Label and organize samples, slides, and biological materials as directed
  • Follow all safety procedures and assist in maintaining compliance with lab safety protocols
  • Dispose of biological waste properly in accordance with college and state guidelines
  • Assist faculty and staff with special projects, demonstrations, or events related to the biology program

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Ability to frequently bend, stretch, and lift
