Employment Status:Full timeShift:Day/Evening/Night (United States of America)Facility:1906 Belleview Ave SE - RoanokeRequisition Number:R161919 Clinical Intern Sterile Processing (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:The Intern supports departmental operations and strategic initiatives within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in their field of study. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or licensed professional and contribute to projects, research, and daily operations in a clinical setting.

The Clinical Intern

  • Provides quality patient care and service within scope according to established standards.
  • May assist patients with activities of daily living.
  • Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment, etc. within the facility. Work under the supervision of a department leader, manager, or licensed professional to complete assigned duties and projects.
  • Assists with operational, administrative, clinical, or professional tasks aligned with the intern's academic program and the department needs.
  • Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods.
  • Participates in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested.
  • Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments.
  • Manages data, conduct research, and prepare reports, summaries, or presentations related to assigned projects.
  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
What We Require:

Education: 2 years of High School required. Must be at least 16 years of age.


Experience: None required. Licensure, certification, and/or registration/Life Support: May be required to obtain/maintain BLS.


Other Minimum Qualifications: Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and listening skills. Manual dexterity and visual perception. Job requires good hearing, clear understandable speech, and good finger dexterity.

Compensation Range:
