How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse (RN), Clinical Informatics who excels in this role:
  • Assess clinical workflows, staff learning needs, competencies, and system requirements to identify opportunities to improve patient care, safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
  • Partner with nurse leaders, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows and ensure clinical technology supports safe, effective, evidence-based practice and clinical standards.
  • Lead and support clinical information system implementations and enhancements throughout the project lifecycle, including workflow analysis, testing, training, go-live support, system upgrades, and issue resolution.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate orientation, education, and training programs that build staff competency in clinical systems, clinical practice, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate organizational change by conducting readiness and workflow assessments, engaging stakeholders, addressing barriers, and supporting successful adoption of new technologies, processes, and workflows.
  • Serve as a clinical informatics consultant, mentor, and resource by providing guidance on clinical practice, technology use, system functionality, professional development, and competency development.
  • Evaluate clinical technology, workflows, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, leveraging data, best practices, and industry knowledge to enhance system usability and support organizational goals.
  • Apply critical thinking, clinical expertise, and sound judgment to independently identify and resolve issues, communicate effectively across teams, and promote continuous improvement in the integration and use of clinical information technology.

What we're looking for
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Acute care hospital nursing experience required, with a strong understanding of clinical practice, patient care workflows, and clinical standards.
  • Experience with clinical information system implementations throughout the project lifecycle, including workflow analysis, testing, training, go-live support, system upgrades, and issue management.
  • Demonstrated experience with organizational change management, workflow optimization, and change-readiness assessments, with the ability to engage teams and successfully implement new processes and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the integration of technology into clinical practice, with a focus on patient safety, quality, efficiency, and improved outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical leaders, frontline staff, interdisciplinary teams, and technology partners.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and take appropriate action in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to leverage industry knowledge, emerging technologies, and best practices to advance clinical informatics initiatives.
