Job description

Role Overview

The Clinical Informatics/Quality Reporting Specialist is a liaison between clinical operations, information technology, and quality management to strengthen accurate clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and hospital quality reporting initiatives. You'll evaluate clinical workflows, improve electronic health record utilization, track quality metrics, and manage data abstraction and submission for state, federal and accreditation reporting requirements. The role supports evidence-based practice, performance improvement initiatives, and protects the integrity of clinical data used for regulatory reporting, reimbursement, and patient safety initiatives.
Required qualifications/skills
- Active RN licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing or multistate
- 3-5 years of acute-care hospital clinical nursing experience
- 2 years experience in clinical informatics, quality management, data abstraction, or healthcare analytics; experience with EHR systems (MedHost, Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar); intermediate Microsoft Office; SQL preferred; Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory requirements strongly preferred
- BSN or Master's in Informatics/Healthcare Administration/Public Health (preferred)
