Job description

Automated Logistics Systems (ALS) is a family-owned, third-party logistics provider delivering customized transportation and supply chain solutions throughout North America. We believe exceptional customer experiences are built through strong relationships, operational excellence, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Implementation Project Manager to help ensure customer implementations are delivered on time, with excellence, and with consistent customer experience.
Position Summary:
The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and administering customer implementation projects from kickoff through successful completion. This role provides the project management discipline, governance, communication, documentation, and execution oversight necessary to keep implementation projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with ALS's Clarity First Framework.
Working closely with the Implementation amp; Solutions Manager and cross-functional teams, this individual ensures project milestones are met, risks are proactively managed, stakeholders remain informed, and implementation deliverables are completed successfully. This position allows implementation leadership to focus on customer outcomes and solution design while ensuring flawless project execution.

Responsibilities:

Own Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and maintain implementation project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across internal teams while proactively identifying and addressing scheduling risks.
  • Support project kickoff, planning, and implementation readiness to ensure successful project execution.
Project Administration and Communication:
  • Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide timely status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for implementation communications.
Project Governance and Controls:
  • Track project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and milestone completion while ensuring governance standards are met.
  • Maintain implementation documentation and escalate project risks when appropriate.
  • Support adherence to ALS's implementation methodology and Clarity First Framework.
Cross-Functional Execution Support:
  • Partner with Operations, IT, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Help remove roadblocks by coordinating communication, priorities, and implementation activities across teams.
  • Support customer onboarding efforts and occasional customer site visits during implementations.
Drive Project Excellence and Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve implementation processes, documentation, and project standards.
  • Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and the customer experience.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of ALS's implementation best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Information Systems, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 1+ years of experience coordinating projects, customer implementations, logistics operations, or technology implementations.
  • Experience maintaining project schedules, documentation, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within structured project management or stage-gate methodologies.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Asana, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting TMS, ERP, or enterprise software implementations.
  • Familiarity with transportation, logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations.
Experience working in customer-facing implementation environments.
Travel:
  • Minimal travel is required. Occasional customer site visits may be necessary during implementation projects.
