Positions Location: Lansing, MI

Job Description

General Purpose of Job:  

Operates C-arm x-ray equipment during interventional pain management procedures as well as assisting with nursing care of the patient.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis.  Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Accurate performance of C-arm procedures. Monitors C-arm performance and reports malfunctions to the Department Manager and Clinical Engineering. Monitors compliance of all Associates and physicians with radiology safety standards including radiation protection guidelines and monitoring.
  • Assists in the care of patients as directed by a Registered Nurse.
  • Responsible for cleaning, restocking, and ordering as directed.
  • Assists with the flow of patients from the check-in to discharge.
  • Assist with office functions.
  • Interacts with other departments to assure continuity of care.
Job Requirements Work Experience โ€ข One-year interventional pain management experience. Education โ€ข Graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist program. โ€ข Registered under the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry. โ€ข American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certified. Specialized Knowledge and Skills โ€ข Skilled in using a variety of medical and nursing equipment. โ€ข Knowledge of medical terminology. โ€ข Possesses interpersonal skills to effectively and appropriately communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other health system Associates. โ€ข Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient served in the Sparrow Pain Management Center.

$10,000 Sign On Bonus. Position is no holidays or weekends. Monday - Friday schedule!
