Job description

We are seeking an experienced Outcomes Nurse (RN) to support our Structural Heart Program, with a focus on Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) procedures, including WATCHMAN.
This role is essential to maintaining compliance with CMS-mandated registry requirements, ensuring accurate data reporting, supporting program quality, and sustaining ongoing participation in advanced structural heart therapies and clinical initiatives.
As part of a collaborative and growing Heart & Vascular Outcomes team, this position plays a key role in data integrity, longitudinal patient follow-up, and performance improvement efforts across the LAAO program.
Clinical Data & Outcomes Management

  • Review patient charts and abstract clinical data for LAAO/registry reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely data submission in accordance with regulatory and registry requirements
  • Coordinate and track longitudinal follow-up data collection across multiple timepoints
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to improve documentation and outcomes
  • Support data entry, queries, and analysis for departmental projects and reporting
  • Partner with MD leadership to validate data accuracy and integrity
Professional Oversight & Expertise
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of registry definitions, requirements, and best practices
  • Participate in registry education, meetings, and professional development
  • Collaborate with Health Care Quality, Peer Review Committees, and Health Information Management
  • Stay informed on evolving standards in structural heart and electrophysiology-related therapies
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as a clinical leader within the Outcomes team
  • Work independently while contributing to team goals and deadlines
  • Partner with physician champions and service line leaders to drive improvements
  • Support cross-coverage and consistency in registry data practices
Reporting & Performance Improvement
  • Prepare and present benchmark and outcomes reports to leadership and performance improvement teams
  • Identify negative trends and escalate to appropriate stakeholders
  • Support research initiatives by collaborating with Clinical Research teams to analyze registry data
SCHEDULE:
  • Full-Time, 40-hours per week
  • Monday-Friday, business hours with some flexibility
  • Hybrid work: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • Experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or structural heart procedures preferred
  • Familiarity with registry data abstraction and regulatory reporting strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of quality of care and outcomes measurement
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfort with data analysis, reporting, and interdisciplinary collaboration
