What types of supervision and mentorship can a clinical counselor intern expect during their internship?

As a Clinical Counselor Intern, you can typically expect to receive regular supervision from a licensed clinical supervisor, often through weekly individual or group meetings. These sessions are designed to provide guidance, feedback, and support as you develop your counseling skills and navigate complex client cases. Mentorship may also include case consultations, opportunities to observe experienced counselors, and structured progress evaluations. What is a clinical counselor intern?

Clinical Counselor Interns are individuals who are gaining supervised practical experience in counseling as part of their graduate studies or licensure requirements. They work with clients under the guidance of licensed mental health professionals to develop their counseling skills, apply theoretical knowledge, and fulfill hours required for certification or licensure.
