RBTs implement treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help clients develop essential skills, such as communication, social interaction, and daily living activities. They use evidence-based techniques to reinforce positive behaviors and reduce challenging ones. In a clinic setting, RBTs may work with multiple clients throughout the day, collaborate with other professionals, and receive ongoing supervision and training to ensure high-quality care.

Familiarity with data collection software, electronic health records, and behavior intervention protocols is typically required.
