Requirements:
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Essential Job Functions: Implement measurement procedures, collect data on client behaviors, and describe behaviors and environments in measurable terms.
  • Skill Acquisition Implementation: Identify essential components of skill acquisition plans, utilize various teaching methods, and carry out processes like stimulus control transfer and prompt fading.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare objective session notes meeting legal and professional standards, and maintain consistent communication with supervisors.
  • Professional Conduct: Adhere to BACB’s RBT supervision requirements, maintain professional boundaries, and client dignity.
  • Communication: Communicate with stakeholders as authorized.
 
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
  • BACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing)
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above-average clinical skills.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and co-workers.
