Handy Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team in Springfield, Illinois. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional onsite healthcare at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center. The selected candidate will enjoy a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Environment

The Surgical Center at Handy Clinic operates in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Our team consists of experienced OB/GYN specialists and Advanced Practice Clinicians who work together to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. The setting is primarily clinic-based, allowing PAs to engage directly with patients and manage their care without the demands of on-call duties. Typical work hours are structured as a 5-day work week, comprising 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a dedicated patient panel while also addressing physician overflow to ensure a seamless patient experience.

  • Provide comprehensive care in a clinic setting, supported fully by Medical Doctors and advanced practice colleagues.

  • Conduct a range of procedures, including but not limited to IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, endometrial biopsies, vulvar biopsies, women's wellness exams, colposcopies (if trained), and circumcisions (if trained).

  • Collaborate closely with clinic staff to enhance patient outcomes and clinic efficiencies.

  • Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to maintain clear and accurate patient documentation.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development through our APC council and participate in leadership training programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant role at Handy Clinic primarily focuses on womenโ€™s health, providing critical services to a diverse clientele within our community. This includes comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care, health screenings, and education on preventive practices. Qualifications
  • Current Physician Assistant Certification.

  • An unrestricted State Medical License to practice as a Physician Assistant.

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination according to federal, state, and local regulations, including boosters where applicable.

  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems is highly desirable.
