Installation Technician - Senior

Professional Solutions Delivered, LLC (ProSoDel) is a total solutions provider for government and commercial customers in the areas of Program Management, Logistics, Organizational Change Management, Communications, Training, and Information Technology (IT) Support Services. We are currently seeking an on-site Installation Technician - Senior in Bremerton, WA to join our team of professionals in support of the U.S. Navy to complete on-site RFID installation at the naval shipyard.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Installation Technician, and Quality Assurance to ensure seamless installation and integration of RFID and Mesh Systems.
  • Perform and overseecustom RFID hardware installations based on SOWs, installation sketches, and installation instructions to include RFID Readers, Antennas, Articulating Mounts, Enclosures, GPIO Sensors and Indicators, and all applicable wiring.  
  • Install Strut Channel, Brackets, Mounts, and Enclosures to multiple surfaces including concrete, wood, metal, etc. 
  • Install Wireless Mesh Beacons and Extenders both inside facilities and outside throughout the yard.
  • Label antennas and all wiring according to drawings.
  • Supervise, assign tasks, and review work for quality and safety.
  • Maintains tools and equipmentand keepssupplies and parts.
  • Loads, transport, andunloadsmaterials, tools,equipmentand supplies.
  • Clerical/administrative duties related to task or project documentation.
  • Keep tools, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform installation inspections and reporting.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but remains tentative until contract award. 

Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations)

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;Bachelor’sdegree preferred
  • Must haveEight (8) to ten (10)years’ experience inone of the related fields:RFID, Low Voltage,instrumentation,electrical construction,ormaintenance;Nine (9) to twelve (12)years’ experiencepreferred.
  • Must be proficient with power/hand toolsandmust haveabilityto climb.
  • Required to have knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, NFPA 70e, OSHA) and ability to read blueprints and drawings. 
  • Must have the ability to effectivelyinteract/dealwith and supportthe customersand employees.Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. 
  • Industry related certifications/experiencehighlydesired.
  • Previousmilitary service experience is a HUGE PLUS.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to perform heavy/strenuous manual work and be exposed towork inconditions which may include temperatures below 32°F and above 90°F.
  • MustMaintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-pacedmilitaryenvironment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employeemust be ableto talk and hearin an industrial environmentwhere ambient noises reach up to approximately 80dBdue to safety requirements. Those hard of hearing, or using aides for hearing, mustdemonstratetheirability to clearlyhear and communicatein this environment prior to consideration.
  • The employee must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas, including interior and exterior environments, tightspacesand areas of considerable height (30 feet above ground level)without being a potential trip hazard.Those who need walkingaidesor difficulty traversingwill not be considered for this position due to safety requirements.
  • Must be able to stand forlong periods(8+ hours daily)andfrequentlywork on ladders and scaffolds.
  • Must be able totolerate heights, to include working onlifts and laddersthat can reach heights of 40-60 feet above ground, tops of light poles, or rooftops. Must be able to properly fit into required safety harnesses fortethering to rooftop anchor points or lift anchors.
  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, ladders, drawings, and equipment (up to 75 lbs. regularly), crouch, kneel, and work with tools and machinery. 
  • Mustbe able to wearappropriate safetyequipment (e.g.ahard-hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes,safety-harness,etc.) as necessary.
  • Must beable to pass initial andsubsequentdrug screenings asrequiredforoperatingheavy machinery.

Clearance

  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation(minimumT-1/NACI)prior to employmentand beginning work.
  • Must be eligible for a T-3 (Secret DoD Security Clearance) clearance.
