Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of clients’ mental and emotional health to inform tailored treatment approaches.
  • Analyze clients’ presenting issues, goals, and backgrounds to develop effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions that cater to a broad range of mental health concerns, implementing psychological theories and therapeutic techniques to support clients' progress.
  • Lead couples therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication skills, conflict resolution, and relationship-building strategies.
  • Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans, documenting progress and outcomes based on client feedback and clinical observations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in our electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care tailored to client needs.
  • Respond to crisis situations, providing immediate interventions and stabilization support for clients in acute distress.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training programs and workshops, staying current with emerging practices in family therapy.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements in practice, ensuring confidentiality and advocating for the rights and welfare of clients.
  • Facilitate client referrals to additional services when necessary, acting as a resource for support beyond therapy.
  • Emphasize self-care, advocating wellness practices for both yourself and your clients.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in virtual therapy tools, ensuring a secure, confidential, and client-friendly therapeutic environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field is required.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
  • Ability to provide individual and couples therapy, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience working with a broad spectrum of clients, including both children and adults.
  • Exceptional documentation skills, with a strong focus on timely and accurate completion of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Proficient writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate electronic health record systems effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly within outpatient services.

Compensation and Benefits
