Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Location:

Job Overview:

We are looking for experienced technicians/mechanics who want to contribute to a positive shop culture and are committed to the highest quality automotive work product. CBA master technicians are experts in their field and capable of seeking out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what’s right for our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Technicians use their knowledge, experience & skills to diagnose and repair vehicles for our customers 
  • Perform a wide range of accurate automotive testing, diagnosis and repairs with best-in-class quality workmanship
  • Continuously apply and build experience as an automotive technician across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
  • Perform complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy digital vehicle inspections
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
  • Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns 
  • Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

  • Positive attitude and a desire to serve customers
  • 6+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
  • Current ASE Certifications preferred; Master, L1 Preferred (or a plan to achieve)
  • Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
  • Strong experience with both domestic and import vehicles
  • Have the drive and the ability to flag 40-50+ hours per week
  • Knowledgeable with reflashing/reprogramming process, all vehicle systems
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and service expertise in the areas of driveability, electrical, powertrain/drivetrain systems, and other mechanical systems, domestic and import
  • Diesel Experience helpful
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
  • Professional appearance and strong communication
  • A desire for long-term career development
  • Must possess a valid Alabama driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
  • Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
  • Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
  • Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
  • Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
  • Drive manual transmissions vehicles
  • Efficiently navigate a computer
