About Us

We are a global climate technologies company engineered for sustainability. We create sustainable and efficient residential, commercial and industrial spaces through HVACR technologies. We protect temperature-sensitive goods throughout the cold chain. And we bring comfort to people globally. Best-in-class engineering, design and manufacturing combined with category-leading brands in compression, controls, software and monitoring solutions result in next-generation climate technology that is built for the needs of the world ahead.

Whether you are a professional looking for a career change, an undergraduate student exploring your first opportunity, or recent graduate with an advanced degree, we have opportunities that will allow you to innovate, be challenged and make an impact. Join our team and start your journey today!

The Project Engineer will support the development, launch, and sustainment of advanced residential HVAC compressor technologies including variable-speed scroll and swing rotary compressor platforms.
This role combines product engineering, customer support, testing, and cross-functional project leadership. The engineer will work closely with customers, manufacturing, suppliers, reliability teams, and product development teams to advance new technologies from concept through production while supporting existing products in the field.
The ideal candidate is a proactive mechanical engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is comfortable collaborating across a broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and commercialization of next-generation compressor technologies and residential HVAC products.
  • Lead technical activities required to mature, validate, qualify, and implement new product technologies.
  • Analyze compressor performance, reliability, efficiency, and field-return data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work directly with laboratory technicians to evaluate testing results, troubleshoot issues, and support product validation activities.
  • Support reliability testing efforts and ensure products meet performance, durability, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, supplier quality, procurement, marketing, program management, and engineering teams to drive project execution.
  • Communicate technical information, recommendations, risks, and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support customers in resolving application, performance, and product-related issues.
  • Participate in root cause investigations of field, customer, and manufacturing issues.
  • Assist with progression of projects through the new product development process.
  • Drive technical problem-solving efforts while balancing multiple priorities and competing business needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean product development practices.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work primarily onsite.
  • Ability to travel approximately 2-3 weeks per year.
Preferred
  • Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, rotating equipment, appliances, or related industries.
  • Product engineering or new product development experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, testing, reliability, or field performance investigations.
  • Exposure to customer-facing technical support or supplier interactions.
  • Knowledge of residential HVAC systems and compressor technologies.
