Here's where you come in... Walmart Canada has partnered with OSL to operate select locations for Party Shop. Reporting to the Party Shop Lead, the Party Shop Associate will be responsible to achieve all daily sales and operations targets. They will display operational excellence, supporting the OSL brand in-store, and add value to our client. The Party Shop Associate will be a team player with a commitment to excellence. Good thing you have what it takes when it comes to understanding sales and customer service fundamentals, knowledge of merchandising, and strong communication skills. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Implement and execute the opening and closing duties daily 
  • Excited to serve customers by helping with their Party/Event needs.  
  • Maintain accuracy and quality when logging/maintaining balloon orders, preparing balloon orders, balloon bouquet inflation, preparing the receipt and/or checking out the customer through POS system. 
  • Provide fast and friendly customer service, including handling any customer concerns in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Receive inventory from the back room, planning and ordering all required supplies, filling shelf spots according to planograms (ribbon, hi-float, balloon bags and clips, helium) 
  • Perform shop maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning balloon desk countertop and storage, maintaining stock room etc. 
  • Maintain clean and tidy shopping and storage spaces, ensure planograms, end caps, balloon wall and balloon desk are left clean and organized at the end of each day 
  • Ensure proper labelling, pricing, and signage; execute promotional pricing if needed, maintain balloon desk and planogram signage and communicate if any signage is damaged or out of date so it can be replaced 
  • Maintain relationships with Helium Supplier, monitor Helium inventory, order Helium as required, manage Helium tank delivery, maintain log of tanks used weekly and change over Helium tanks when empty (hook up the Helium piping/nozzle) 
  • Ensure all safety measures are properly intact, maintained and used to prevent accidents 
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures, policies and Best Methods and ensures compliance to safety standards 
  • Flexibile to work weekends and/or evenings
