Position Summary
As a direct member of a sales and advisory team, the Sales Executive (SE) owns the end-to-end account leadership of new and existing client relationships. This role is responsible for driving business development, managing complex client strategies, and partnering with service teams to deliver proactive risk management solutions. The SE plays a dual strategic and hands-on role, contributing to organizational growth through new revenue generation, client retention, and expansion of services across practice areas.


Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Ownership

•       Owns leadership of client relationships and overall account strategy.

•       Acts as primary advisor and decision-maker for client risk management programs.

•       Aligns client strategy with business goals and identifies growth opportunities.

•       Partners with internal teams to ensure execution and service excellence.

Hands-On Execution & Delivery

•       Actively prospects and develops new business opportunities through networks, events, and referrals.

•       Builds and maintains a strong sales pipeline at 3x annual goal.

•       Manages sales activity within CRM systems.

•       Analyzes coverage, structures programs, and executes plan changes.

•       Presents solutions and recommendations directly to clients.

Reporting, Quality & Operational Support

•       Ensures accuracy and quality of proposals, renewals, and client deliverables.

•       Meets timelines and ensures readiness of all client-facing materials.

•       Monitors account performance and proactively resolves issues.

•       Maintains confidential client and business information.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Integration

•       Collaborates with Client Executives, Managers, and Account Managers.

•       Coordinates carrier relationships and market strategy discussions.

•       Supports seamless handoffs across service teams.

•       Identifies and drives cross-selling and account rounding opportunities.

Growth, Change & Special Initiatives

•       Achieves or exceeds annual sales goals.

•       Leads client growth and retention strategies.

•       Participates in strategic initiatives and business development efforts.

•       Expands professional network and industry presence.

Process Improvement & Best Practices

•       Identifies opportunities to improve sales and client service processes.

•       Stays current on market trends, products, and legislation.

•       Promotes best practices across teams.

•       Leverages tools and insights to enhance client outcomes.

•       Delivering scalable revenue growth and client retention.

•       Maintaining high-quality client service and satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

•       5+ years of insurance sales or consulting experience.

•       Proven success in building and managing a book of business.

•       Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

•       Excellent communication and presentation skills.

•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

•       Life & Health license or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Preferred

•       Bachelor’s degree.

•       CEBS designation.

•       Experience in professional services or brokerage environment.

•       Track record of high client retention.
