Job description

Overview

DealMaker is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing the capital markets ecosystem with a mission to make online capital raising mainstream. We empower founders, CEOs, and operators to raise capital digitally, both from their own communities and through strategically marketed campaigns. No other platform provides an end-to-end solution like oursโ€”and our track record speaks for itself, with over $2B raised across 1,000+ campaigns. We power the largest online capital raises for customers like EnergyX ($88M), Green Bay Packers ($65M), Miso Robotics ($72M+), Monogram Orthopaedics (Nasdaq:MGRM) and many others, with 3 IPOs in the past year alone. We are quickly expanding our horizons and are seeking talented team members to join us on our journey to transform the global capital market.

Who You Are

You are a high-octane strategist who thrives in the space between "big ideas" and "big results." You are a natural leader who Pushes Your Limits and inspires your team to do the same. You donโ€™t just manage workflows; you Drive Outcomes. You are Bold and Direct in your communication, ensuring that both your team and your clients have a clear, honest path to success. Most importantly, you Obsess over Customers, treating their capital-raising goals as your own.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the VP of Strategy, you will lead a focused, high-impact team of 4 within our Marketing Services division. Your mission is to oversee the architecture and execution of high-performing marketing funnels that turn prospects into investors. This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will balance high-level strategy with direct mentorship.

The most critical part of your role is two-fold:

  • Funnel Mastery: You will lead your team in building, testing, and scaling digital marketing funnels that drive measurable results.

  • Trust Architecture: You will earn and maintain the trust of our sophisticated client base and internal stakeholders through radical transparency and consistent delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • KPI Ownership: Directly oversee the teamโ€™s performance against NPS, total capital raised, and ROAS.

  • Team Development: Actively coach a team of 4, fostering a culture of accountability, rapid experimentation, and professional growth.

  • Strategic Innovation: Continuously Innovate and Simplify our processes to ensure we stay ahead of capital market trends.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with the President of Marketing Services and VP of Strategy to ensure client expectations align with operational reality.

What You'll Bring

We are looking for a blend of analytical rigor and empathetic leadership. To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Strong Data Analysis Skills: The ability to extract the "why" behind the numbers to optimize campaign performance and drive better returns.

  • Proven Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of 4, creating an environment where high performance is the standard.

  • Capital Markets Intelligence: A deep understanding of the investment landscape and a psychological grasp of what motivates individuals to commit capital to a deal.

  • Digital Marketing Expertise: A strong background in digital marketing strategy with comprehensive knowledge of ad channels across both digital and physical mediums.

  • The Find a Way Mentality: A relentless problem-solving spirit and the ability to earn and keep trust from customers and internal stakeholders through every stage of a campaign.

This is a hybrid, Los Angelesโ€“based role (3 days in-office in the Culver City area) requiring strong overlap with Mountain Standard Time (MST) working hours to support team collaboration.

Founded in 2018 by leading capital markets lawyers, DealMaker has blazed its own trail as the leading online capital-raising platform. As a tech startup, we are well-capitalized, firmly established in our market, and ready to scale. Hereโ€™s why you should want to join us:

  • A diverse & distributed team of doers, innovators, and experts

  • Shared employee benefit plan (medical, vision, & dental)

  • We love AI and have tools to support you build innovative solutions

  • Annual learning support And more!
