Job description

Our client is

the world's first and only Business Agency. They bring business strategy to brand storytelling to drive enterprise value. With expertise in strategy, media, CRM, creative, performance marketing, and technology, the agency creates integrated marketing systems and campaigns that grow businesses in significant ways.

About the Role

The agency is currently seeking a Vice President, Client Partner to join their growing team. The Vice President is a senior business leader who owns the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of a significant portfolio of t's he agency's most important client relationships, with a book of business of $15–25MM+. This is a step beyond account leadership — the VP is expected to operate as an executive-level strategic partner to clients, a driver of new revenue both within existing accounts and through new business, and a people leader responsible for building and developing a large, high-performing team.

The Vice President reports to a Managing Director and serves as a key member of the agency's client leadership bench — trusted to represent the agency at the executive table, to shape how the agency shows up in the market, and to mentor the next generation of account leadership.

About You
  • Proven track record owning and growing a large portfolio of business, with clear accountability for revenue targets, profitability, and account expansion — not just delivery.

  • A demonstrated business developer: experienced identifying, pitching, and closing new business, whether within existing client organizations (organic growth) or through new logos.

  • Operates as a true strategic partner to clients at the executive level (CMO / VP Marketing and above) — shaping their business strategy, not just executing against a brief, and comfortable owning renewal and contract risk.

  • Experienced building, leading, and scaling a large team, including managing other senior leaders (Directors and Group Account Directors) who in turn manage their own teams.

  • Strong story-telling and strategic development capabilities, with the ability to build and deliver executive-level presentations and points of view.

  • Skilled at identifying needs a client may not yet recognize, and connecting the agency's cross-functional capabilities — strategy, media, CRM, creative, performance marketing, and technology — to solve for them.

  • A natural relationship builder who consistently develops new executive-level relationships and represents the agency's point of view in the broader industry.

  • Full ownership of portfolio profitability, including negotiating scopes and fees with clients and partnering with the agencyleadership on resourcing and margin.

  • A passionate people leader with a track record of mentoring, developing, and retaining talent across a diverse and growing team.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Own the growth strategy for your portfolio, setting and delivering against quantified revenue and profitability targets across $15–25MM+ of business.

  • Actively drive business development: lead organic growth conversations within existing accounts and play a lead role in new business pitches and agency positioning.

  • Serve as the senior-most, executive-level strategic partner to your clients — shaping their business direction and ensuring the agency's work is tied to their broader enterprise objectives.

  • Build, lead, and develop a large team, including direct management of Directors and Group Account Directors, ensuring strong bench strength and succession within your portfolio.

  • Set the standard for quality and consistency of work across your accounts, and manage client expectations at the most senior level.

  • Partner with the agency's Managing Directors and cross-functional leaders to define, resource, and deliver innovative solutions that generate measurable enterprise value for clients.

  • Contribute to the agency's broader agency leadership — shaping practice-wide points of view, supporting new business efforts beyond your own portfolio, and representing the agency's capabilities in market.

  • Own all aspects of account operations across your portfolio, including AR, contracts, and negotiation of scopes with clients.

  • Be as much a leader and mentor as a communicator — actively developing the next generation of account and Client Partner talent.

  • This is a hybrid role (onsite atthe agency's offices, at client sites, and remote); you will be expected to spend significant time with clients and prospects, including leading executive-level meetings and briefings.

  • Willingness to collaborate across time zones, including GALE's India office (early morning calls as required) and the agency's east coast office.

Note: Hybrid work in office is an essential function of the job.
