Job description

Vident Asset Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Sub-Advisory Client Relationship Associate (CRA) to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing the lifecycle of Videntโ€™s Sub-Advisory clients. The CRA will serve as the primary liaison between Vident and its clients, focusing on nurturing long-term partnerships, ensuring client needs and expectations are being met and driving client retention and growth. They understand what each clientโ€™s specific needs are and work with colleagues to help identify appropriate solutions. Key duties include proactive and ongoing client outreach, managing inbound client communications, resolving issues, and fostering trust. This role acts as a bridge between clients and the broader Vident organization, working closely with Portfolio Management, Operations, and Sales.

Founded in 2013, Vident boasts a unique portfolio of ETFs, serves as a trusted sub-advisor within the ETF industry, specializes in crafting bespoke indexes and models, and supports a robust SMA platform. We traditionally partner with institutional investors, asset managers, and wealth management firms to Bring Investment Ideas to Life.

What youโ€™ll do:

โ€ข Role Type: Relationship Management

โ€ข Primary Objective: Ensure a high-touch, white glove service experience for clients in order to retain and help grow relationships, including assets under management (AUM).

โ€ข Relationship Management: Establishing and maintaining strong, proactive, and positive relationships with Sub-Advisory clients.

โ€ข Client Onboarding: Partnering with the Business Development Success Associate, Operations, and Portfolio Managers to transition newly acquired relationships and guide new clients through the Vident Client Experience.

โ€ข Needs Assessment: Understanding each clientโ€™s requirements and communicating them to appropriate internal teams to ensure timely and complete service delivery.

โ€ข Problem Resolution: Acting as the first point of contact for clients, identifying their problems or concerns, and helping to identify appropriate solutions.

โ€ข Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Compliance, and Investment Management to support new fund launches and ensure operational excellence.

โ€ข Client Retention & Growth: Partnering with Sales to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products and services to increase revenue and AUM.

โ€ข Product Expertise: Delivering insights into Videntโ€™s primary service offering to clients, including handling questions about non-investment related processes.

โ€ข Market Analysis: Stay abreast of ETF market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

What you have:

โ€ข Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Need to be comfortable speaking to clients across varied demographics and have the public presence to be a front-line representative of Vident.

โ€ข Client-Centered Mindset: Ensuring that each client feels valued and heard, even those that are difficult, and partnering with internal colleagues to achieve resolution of problems and concerns.

โ€ข Attention to Detail: Providing timely client communication, tracking requests, and communicating clearly to colleagues is a non-negotiable requirement.

โ€ข Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Experience and comfort in handling conflict and resolving issues to maintain positive client relationships.

โ€ข Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Proficiency: Experience in using CRM tools (particularly Salesforce) to track client interactions and data is highly preferred.

โ€ข Analytical Skills: Ability to monitor and analyze client service data to identify trends and opportunities to improve service.

Qualifications & Skills:

โ€ข Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Communications preferred.

โ€ข Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in financial services, preferably in asset management.

โ€ข Licenses: Having regulatory certifications (or the willingness to acquire them) such as Certified ETF Advisor (CETFยฎ) designation, FINRA Series 7 and 63, and FINRA SIE are preferred.

โ€ข Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.) strongly preferred.
