JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This is an interdisciplinary position on the Global Product Specialist team within the Investment Management business. Sitting at the intersection of Investor Relations and capital raising functions, the Product Specialist Associate will support Greystar's fund formation and capital raising activities across the Global commingled funds, working closely with a global institutional investor base and cross-functional internal stakeholders. The role offers broad exposure across marketing, investor communications, due diligence, data projects and event coordination within a dynamic and growing platform.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Capital Raising & Product Specialist Support

  • Sit at the forefront of the end-to-end investor due diligence process, including preparing and coordinating responses to due diligence questionnaires and information requests.
  • Support all other fundraising efforts across the Global commingled funds, including but not limited to competitive positioning in the market, coordinating investor outreach, marketing support, data projects to support capital raising initiatives, and assisting with closing processes.
  • Respond to investor inquiries with accuracy and professionalism, supporting the teams ability to move investors efficiently through the fundraising pipeline
  • Coordinate and attend investor meetings and property tours globally, with sporadic need to travel to other corporate officesfor meetings and property tours.
  • Participate in and lead internal project management workstreams and maintain an aptitude for leading internal discussions across multiple teams and leaders.

Marketing Materials, Roadshows & Events

  • Support the preparation of marketing and investor materials, including pitchbooks, fund offering documents, and DDQs. This includes working closely with Compliance to ensure all materials are thoroughly vetted and approved prior to use.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative, investor-appropriate approaches to positioning and marketing Greystar's investment products to institutional audiences.
  • Support the preparation of various ad hoc presentations and materials for internal stakeholders, with the ability to quickly source information and data and leverage company technology resources and AI tools effectively and appropriately.
  • Assist in the organization of events, roadshows, and conference participation, including logistics coordination and material preparation.

CRM, Investor Mapping & Business Development

  • Maintain and manage investment offering information within the CRM, ensuring that fundraising activity and vehicle-related data is accurately implemented, updated, and tracked.
  • Support the team in mapping the institutional investor landscape globally as well as how Greystars products are positioned, with a view to expanding Greystar's investor base.

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
  • Utilize AI within the framework that Greystar has provided, proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to improve team efficiency and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Stay current with industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes through ongoing professional development.

Role Scope

  • Consistent, daily collaboration with Portfolio Management, Regional Investment Teams, the Global Product Specialist Team, Investor Relations, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Tax, HR, IT and other teams as needed.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with global teams across multiple time zones, including colleagues in Europe and APAC, with flexibility around scheduling where needed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in real estate, business or finance, marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Client Service/Product Specialist role with an adviser or manager of alternative investment strategies (such as real estate, private equity, or hedge funds) or comparable investment banking prior experience.
  • Must hold active Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, or ability to obtain required licenses within 12 months of hire date.

Experience & Skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of institutional private fund products and how these vehicles are structured.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to prepare and explain data to team members and external investors.
  • Established experience interfacing with an institutional client base.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in word processing, Excel, and database management programs in order to complete required tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail as well as quality of deliverables.
  • Mastery of key investment metrics (IRR, equity multiple, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong work ethic, focused and results oriented with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
