Job description

The Senior Account Executive for Creighton Sports Properties, in support of the Deputy Athletic Director for External Relations, will build and maintain positive working relationships with local, regional, and national businesses on behalf of Creighton University athletics. This individual will be expected to develop and maintain a robust portfolio of existing accounts. Along with the management of current accounts, this individual will also be expected to lead the development of new business with the goal of maximizing revenue while also successfully bolstering the brands of new and existing corporate partners.

Essential Functions:

Lead the development and growth of the existing portfolio of corporate sponsor accounts by:

* maintaining consistent and professional relationships with the stakeholders of all corporate partners
* direct the drafting and coordinating of agreements with current accounts, and manage all relevant information in division-wide database
* lead the fulfillment of the terms of agreements that provide advertising, marketing, and promotional benefits to sponsor businesses.
* Oversee all sponsor activations and entertainment of current corporate sponsors.
* anticipating and resolving any issues that may arise in the fullfilment and exectution of all partnership agreements
* Oversee the capture of proof of performance examples and provide fulfillment summaries to share with current sponsors
* working with existing sponsor businesses to grow and extend their partnerships with the athletic department with the goal of generating incremental revenue and growth opportunities.
* Staying informed of industry trends, peer institutions, and the competitive landscape to identify space for innovation and growth

* Independently prospect, develop, and close new corporate partnerships
* Build and maintain a robust pipeline aligned with annual revenue targets
* Develop integrated, multi-platform sponsorship packages aligned with client marketing objectives
* Lead the full sales cycle, including:
o Prospecting & qualification
o Discovery and needs analysis
o Custom solution development
o Proposal creation and presentation
o Negotiation and closing

Oversee the planning and execution of all events with and for corporate partners

Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Athletic Director of External Operations

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University.
* 2-4 years in sales, marketing, account management and/or brand management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Ability to analyze a partner's marketing/branding needs based on their marketing targets and objectives, and craft an integrated solution to meet those needs.
* Proven track record of sales success and innovative sponsorship package development.
* Knowledge of sports and stadium sponsorships; including promotions, events, brands and media.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and interact with internal and external clients across all levels.
* Strong work ethic, time management, ability to manage multiple priorities, displaying strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail and desire to develop professionally
* Always maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
* Ability to always maintain high level of confidentiality
* Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires.
* Leadership and mentorship capabilities
* Ability to travel as needed
